New fast charging station with a DC Type2 plug at the service area in Gunzgen
On January 18, 2018, our tenth ultra fast charging station has been put into operation on the motorway at the Gunzgen South service area. Numerous guests, including ASTRA Director Jürg Röthlisberger and Cantonal Government Member Roland Fürst participated at the event. New and unique feature is a DC Type2 plug, which now allows also e.g. Teslas to fast charge at this location, at the moment still with reduced power, but hopefully soon at its well known power. We are very satisfied about the use in the first weeks. Therefore we expect to be able to build more such charging stations this year for our customers.
We consider this as an important step on our path to build a neutral, non-discriminatory fast charging infrastructure: All electric vehicle drivers and vehicle types can charge as quickly and as easy as possible at our stations.
Visit us at the 88th International Motor Show in Geneva
The Geneva International Motor Show is one of the world's leading automotive trade shows and takes place every March at the Palexpo. Numerous premieres of well-known car manufacturers are presented every year.
This year, the 88th edition will take place March 8-18. The future of the automotive field will, once again, be focused on energy-efficient vehicles. Some new electric vehicles are expected, including the premiere of Rimac's Concept II, the electric supercar. The previous model, Concept One, has been in Switzerland for testing and filming at a GOFAST charging station. Additionally, the promising Hyundai Kona electric will be shown and probably also pure electric vehicles from Mercedes or Audi.
We will be at the Geneva Motor Show as well. Visit us from March 8-18, 2018 at the e’mobile booth 5141 in hall 5, right between the stand of Jeep and Ford. We look forward to talking with you!

Plans for 2018
After a successful expansion of our charging infrastructure network in 2017, we want to consolidate it further this year. We are currently planning and building locations all over the country: in the area of Zurich, in the Canton Ticino and in the western part of Switzerland. Soon we will be able to put more attracting locations into operation. Nevertheless, we are still looking for additional locations. If you are a landowner or know someone who has a property that could be suitable for fast charging, please contact us.
