Since our last newsletter, we have been able to commission additional locations in Lugano (McDonald's), Quinto (motorway service area), Neuchâtel (Hotel IBIS 3 Lacs) and Viamala (motorway service area). Additionally by the end of the year also Gunzgen Nord and South (motorway service area) and one between Bellinzona and Locarno (Fela Ticino) will be ready.
As usual, the GOFAST locations are equipped with state-of-the-art charging technology. All vehicles can charge full power and parallel.

The GOFAST Team Grows
GOFAST is growing also as a team. In the past three months, we welcomed three new employees, who are already actively supporting and complementing each other:

	Dominik Treichler – Business Development Dominik has several years of experience in the automotive and financial service industries. In his last position, he was internally responsible for the smooth running of international tenders as well as for the implementation of complex, worldwide customer projects. Alongside his professional commitments currently, Dominik also studies at the ZHAW in Winterthur. He is particularly interested in the technology behind e-mobility and in the fact of coping with emerging challenges. He has always wanted to actively contribute to the success of e-mobility in Switzerland. As Business Development Manager, Dominik will work with the team to further develop the network.
	Stephanie Sauter – Business Development Stephanie originally comes from the IT field and is interested in new and innovative solutions. In recent years she gained business experience in different branches and she was able to get to know other cultures and countries thanks to the periods spent abroad. During her Master in Entrepreneurship, Stephanie learned about the exciting field of startups and their passion for developing new markets or products. Stephanie sees e-mobility as a great opportunity for positive change. She is motivated by the challenge of making a positive contribution to the environmental issue with a combination of technology and humanity. As Business Development Manager, Stephanie as well, will work with the team to further develop the network.
	Giorgio Sarno – Projektleiter After some years of working in the field of electrical engineering and energy, Giorgio switched to the automotive industry. Most recently, he was involved in project management for a German car manufacturer, where he worked in vehicle development. E-mobility combines the fields of expertise that Giorgio has achieved in his professional career. He is convinced that the mobility of tomorrow will be electric and that current challenges in e-mobility will be dealt with in a short time period. As Project Manager, Giorgio will contribute with his technical knowledge to the development of the Swiss charging infrastructure. In addition to this activity, Giorgio studies Management, Technology and Economics at the ETH in Zurich.

Review and Outlook
2017 is almost over and for GOFAST it has been a successful year: Starting with one location, by the end of 2017 we will have 10 locations in operation. This has been possible thanks to our engaged partners. In the coming months and years, we will continue to rely on them and additionally build further partnerships.

The fast-charging demand of electric car drivers is growing. At peak times we have up to 8 charging sessions per location. In total, customers have already visited us more than 1,000 times. On average, customers charge for about 30 minutes. The demand for the different types of connector is also stable: About 40% use CHAdeMO, followed by CCS and AC type 2.
The numbers motivate us and confirm that the electric vehicle will establish itself in the market. At the same time, they prove that we are on the right track with our ambition to have a non-discriminatory network of fast charging stations (all plugs and vehicle types). Together with our technology partner EVTEC, in 2018 we will even be giving Tesla drivers the opportunity to charge DC directly without an adapter, at selected locations. 

In the coming year, we will further expand our network of fast charging stations. For this reason, we are always looking for new, interesting locations.
