The Swiss fast charging provider, GOFAST, is launching an ambitious project with McDonald’s Switzerland to expand the charging infrastructure in Switzerland for electric cars. The aim is to fit most of the nearly 90 McDrive restaurants with fast charging stations by the end of 2022. Attractive restaurant locations will therefore be added to the existing Swiss network of GOFAST fast charging stations in a short space of time. This national collaboration brings a range of benefits to both partners:

LOCATION UPGRADE WITH HAPPY CUSTOMERSAs e-mobility becomes more prevalent, customers increasingly expect places to be equipped with a charging station. |

MONETISATION OF CAR PARKSGOFAST's partnership models can include revenue sharing on the "tanked" electricity. Well-located parking spaces near shopping centres, restaurants or other buildings with a high visitor frequency can thus be additionally monetised. |

CLIMATE TARGETSSwitzerland is aiming to be climate-neutral by 2050. Electric mobility has an important contribution to make in reducing CO2 emissions. |

EXPANSION OF THE FAST CHARGING NETWORKExperts believe that fast charging (>100 kW) in particular will be in greatest demand when charging an electric car en route. Every new location will provide drivers of electric cars with more freedom and flexibility in the future. |

GOFAST fast charging stations will be available in all language regions in Switzerland at five McDonald’s restaurants in Martigny, La Tour-de-Trême, Lugano, Kölliken and Hinwil by the end of December. The expansion will be completed in stages by the end of 2022.
